Introduction

Welcome to STAFFIT. STAFFIT is used to support project and/or engagement staffing within the Deloitte Network: finding the best practitioner for assignments and finding the best assignments for practitioners.

This Privacy Statement applies to the mobile application and the website version of STAFFIT. The Global Skills Catalog is a part of STAFFIT.

Please click on the links below to navigate to the various sections of this statement and read additional details:

Who does this Privacy Statement apply to and what does it cover?

This Privacy Statement applies to your employing Deloitte entity ("Deloitte", "we", "us" or "our").

This Privacy Statement sets out how we will collect, handle, store and protect your information in STAFFIT.

This Privacy Statement also contains information about when we share your information with other members of the Deloitte Network and other third parties (for example, our service providers). As used in this Privacy Statement, "Deloitte Network" refers to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, a UK private company limited by guarantee ("DTTL"), its network of member firms and their related entities.

In this Privacy Statement, we will refer to your information as "personal information". Please note that we may sometimes collectively refer to collecting, handling, storing and protecting your personal information as "processing" such information.

What information do we collect?

The profile screen in the practitioner interface allows you to upload resumes to the DTTL Global Resume Repository, select skills from the Global Skills Catalog, and choose work preferences. You may amend, update or delete your resumes, skills, or preferences as often as you like by accessing your profile. Your resource manager or a resource manager delegate can also edit this information per member firm policies. Other profile information in STAFFIT, such as your name and relevant business related information, has been pre-populated by local member firm system(s) and cannot be updated via the STAFFIT user interface.

Certain jurisdictions may require an additional notice about the categories of information we collect and the purposes for which we collect and process such information. Click here for additional privacy notice .

How do we use your information?

Use of personal information for staffing purposes

  • STAFFIT and the Global Skills Catalog play an important role in helping to locate and select qualified practitioners for assignments world-wide.

  • To fulfil this purpose, your profile will be visible to resource managers and relevant staffing information will be visible to Resource Requesters throughout the Deloitte Network in STAFFIT and related systems.

Use of personal information for other activities that form part of the operation of our business

We may also use your personal information for the purposes of or in connection with:

  • applicable legal or regulatory requirements

  • requests and communications from competent authorities

  • protecting our rights and/or property

On what basis do we process your personal information?

We will use your personal information for the purposes outlined above because: (a) we have a legitimate interest in appropriate and efficient project or engagement staffing for Deloitte professionals; (b) we have a legitimate interest in providing services to our clients or (c) we are subject to legal or regulatory obligations, such as providing information to a public body or law enforcement agency.

Who will we disclose your information to?

In connection with one or more of the purposes outlined in the "How do we use information about you?" section above, we may disclose details about you to:

  • resource managers and other Deloitte professionals with staffing responsibility

  • other members of the Deloitte Network

  • third party clients on whose engagement you may be staffed

  • competent authorities, including courts and authorities regulating us or another member of the Deloitte Network, in each case to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests

  • as part of a corporate transaction, such as a sale, divestiture, reorganization, merger or acquisition

Please note that STAFFIT is hosted in the United States, and that some of the recipients of your personal information may be based in countries or regions without data protection rules similar to those in effect in your area of residence. In such cases, we will ensure that there are adequate safeguards in place to protect your personal information.

Further details of the transfers described above and the adequate safeguards used with respect to such transfers (including copies of relevant agreements) are also available from us by contacting STAFFIT .

STAFFIT itself does not share info with 3rd parties. The application itself cannot prevent someone from sharing data they downloaded on STAFFIT with a client. In the event a member firm or legal entity would require data from STAFFIT, a formal request should be submitted to the STAFFIT team by the lead resource manager from that member firm. The lead resource manager would follow the standard ticketing process used to submit for all support and service requests to STAFFIT and the process of determining how and what type of information required would dictate the method and approval process.

How do we keep your information secure?

We have in place reasonable commercial standards of technology and operational security to protect all personal information provided by individuals from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Only authorized personnel, who have been made appropriately aware of our privacy obligations, are provided access to personal information.

How long will we keep your information?

We retain personal information as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes identified in applicable laws. Where personal information is no longer necessary or relevant for our identified purposes, we will securely dispose of your personal information.

How may you access, review or request removal of your personal information?

You can access your STAFFIT profile page at any time to review any of your personal information. On this page you may also amend, update or delete your resume, skills and preferences data as often as you like.

Where required by applicable law, you may also contact us with various requests in relation to your personal information. In particular, you may:

We encourage you to review this Privacy Statement periodically to be informed about how we are protecting your personal information.
